It is our experience that each of these categories, if not properly maintained as a whole, results in a computer, server or netwok that as mystery issues and is susceptible to being down or marginally useable.






Security
  • Definition: Freedom from danger, risk, etc.; safety.
  • Objective: The objective of computer & network systems security includes protection of information and property from theft & corruption, while allowing the information and property to remain accessible and productive to its intended users.
Stability
  • Definition: Resistance to change, especially sudden change or deterioration; permanence.
  • Objective: The objective of computer & network systems stability includes keeping functional the key processes & services related to hardware, applications and operating systems which will most likely maintain a firm, dependable as well as useable computer & network system with little to no fluctuation.
Reliability
  • Definition: An attribute of any system that consistently produces the same results, preferably meeting or exceeding its specifications.
  • Objective: The objective of computer & network systems reliability includes keeping capacities and age of the equipment in check and within reasonable thresholds which is essential to thwarting.

NC - AV- Disabled Daily Your Antivirus software was detected but is showing disabled.
NC - AV- Out of Date Every 3 Days Your Antivirus software definitions which protect you from malicious items is out dated by more than 15 days.
NC - AV- Software Missing Every 2 Days Your system has indicated that no functional Antivirus software is installed.
NC - Bad Processes Detected Every 3 Days Your system has reported a Bad System Process has been detected. Bad Processes are normally related to spyware or malware.
NC - TCP- Suspicious Ports Daily Your system is reporting Suspicious TCP Ports are open. Suspicious Ports indicate a possible virus or malware issue and should be investigated and remediated
NC - Updates - Failed Automatic Every 30 Days Windows Update has failed to install a required patch on this system.
NC - Updates - Missing Service Pack Every 7 Days Your system is missing a critical Windows Service Pack and is vulnerable to exploits that are fixed by the Service Pack.
NC - Updates- Out of Date Every 7 Days Your system is missing Windows Updates and needs to be updated to insure system security and dependability.
NC - Windows Appinit DLL Defined Every 2 Days An AppInit value has been detected outside of normal parameters and can be an indication of a slow performing machine or virus infection and it should be investigated and remediated.
NC - Windows Shell Defined Every 5 Days A Shell value has been detected outside of normal parameters and can be an indication of a slow performing machine or virus infection and it should be investigated and remediated.
NC - Windows Userinit Defined Every 5 Days A UserInit value has been detected out of normal parameters and could indicate a slow performing machine or virus infection and should be investigated and repaired accordingly.

NC - Drive - Drive Errors and Raid Failures Every 4 Days Critical hard drive errors have been detected on your computer. These usually lead indicate a pending hard drive failure or possible loss of data.
NC - Drive - Free Space < 5% Free Every 2 Days Your Hard Disk is reporting less than 5% total free space is available. Low disk space can cause your system to perform slowly.
NC - Drive - Smart Failures Daily These errors represent potential failures with your systems hard drive and need to be investigated before the system is no longer operational.
NC - Excessive Event Log Alerts Detected Every 5 Days Windows Events that exceeded 25 occurrence in a 5 minute period. Such a high level would indicate excessive system operation.
NC - Perf - 90% Plus Avg CPU Daily The system CPU has exceeded 90% of the total capacity during the last 7 days. Computer performace is degraded when CPU usage is consistenly high.
NC - Perf - Low Memory Daily Less than 15% of the total memory was available indicating the system needs more memory or less activities need to be done at once.

NC - Drive - Disk Cleanup Servers Every 7 Days This Server is reporting Temp File usage greater than 175 MB and your Temp Files are in need of a cleanup to free up disk space and prevent bottlenecks in your system.
NC - Drive - Disk Cleanup Workstations Every 7 Days This Workstation is reporting Temp File usage greater than 55 MB and your Temp Files are in need of a cleanup to free up disk space and prevent bottlenecks in your system.
NC - Drive - Fragmentation Every 30 Days Your Hard Disk is reporting fragmentation greater than 15% and the drive should be defragged to improve overall system performance.
NC - TCP - Duplicate IP in Network Every 3 Days Two machines are claiming or have attempted to claim the same IP address on the network causing a conflict which may prevent you from connecting to other Network resources.
NC - Windows Startup Overloaded Every 7 Days Windows starts up with more than 20 programs that are running in the background which will cause potential slowness with system operation.
